• Location Zhuji, Shaoxing, Zhejiang, China
• A Level Physics Teacher (Grade 10-12)
Responsibilities:
• Take responsibility for a high school class, supporting, nurturing and taking a genuine interest in the holistic of all children in that class
• Design, prepare and deliver high quality lessons to suit the individual needs of all students in line with the Teacher’s Guidance
• Assess and monitor student progress and provide targets so that all learners can see success and improve
• Invigilating during exam seasons / Examiners for oral tests
• Supervising Self-study sessions/night study sessions
• Collaborate with other teachers to share new ideas, approaches and professional knowledge
• Liaise with the Academic Director and Head of Physics to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum to specified classes, including selecting resources and managing them efficiently in the classroom
• Contribute to the extra-curricular activities programme and participate in school activities such as assemblies, evening events, conferences
• Maintain constant awareness of the needs of children to whom English is a second language
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant/specialist subject area
• Physics teaching qualification and experience
• TEFL certificate
• Master’s degree
• Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent
• CELTA certificate Skills/Experience
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in your subject area of expertise
• Previous experience in an international school is highly valued
• Previous experience with the A-level Physics
• Curriculum development knowledge
Compensation and Benefits
• Compensation negotiable, depending on working experience and educational background.
• The following will be provided to teachers working at the College:
Free furnished apartment on campus
Full pay for the Chinese Spring Festival holiday
Flight allowance 12500 RMB per year
Assist to get work visa and work permit
Commercial insurance provided
New Year Gift, Middle Autumn Day Gift, Dragon Boat Day Gift
Contract Length 1 or 2 years, depending on mutual agreement between the candidate and the department leader
